Content Discovery
The Recommendation Dashboard offers improved means of content discovery. It provides recommended content to a particular end-user, and also a powerful content search mechanism. The recommended content can be of any type, including live TV programs, catch-up TV programs, series, and VOD content.


How it works
Personalized recommendations are based on the end-users’ feedback on the content (like/ dislike), consumed content, time of the day, day of the week, and content already viewed by users with similar watching behavior.
Integrations
To provide recommendations, integration with an external recommendation engine is required. Currently, the recommendation engine supplied by ThinkAnalyics is pre-integrated with the NetSolution Recommendation Dashboard. The integration is implemented in a separate NetSolution server component and is done on a per-project basis.
Possiblity to combine existing recommendation system with Google Assistant on Android TV STB.


Search
The search mechanism provides entering the search patterns using the convenient ABCD (or QWERTY) keyboard, and a “live” search, i.e., after at least three characters have been entered. Search is performed over Title, Director, and Actor content metadata. Each content is also connected with its “similar” content, so it is easy for end-users to find other content of interest.
Google Assistant search is enabled for Android TV STBs.
